The Wildlife Rehabilitation Network of Central Iowa (WRNCI) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of orphaned and injured wildlife with the intent to return them to the wild. Staffed by volunteers, our main goals are:
- To ensure the placement of orphaned or injured wildlife with the most qualified rehabilitator on a case by case basis.
- Promote awareness of our organization to ensure our accessibility to the public and to grow our volunteer base.
- Provide temorary, safe, and specices appropriate care and safely returning the patient to its natural environment according to DNR accepted guidelines.
- Provide resources to wildlife rehabilitators to enable them to provide the best care possible and foster relations ships between rehabilitators, IDNR, local police departments and animal control organizations.
